Traditional Irish Music

Ogham the Band September 19, 2008

A snapshot of our reception.

A snapshot of our reception.

Ogham (pronounced om) features multi-instrumentalists and vocalists T.J. Hull and Amanda Caretta-Hull. Based in Milwaukee, but performing all over the Midwest and beyond, we specialize in high-energy Irish dance music on fiddle and bodhran, and Renaissance period vocals backed by bouzouki. T.J. is a veteran of bands like the Culchies, and a ren faire denizen throughout the Midwest. Amanda’s drum, the bodhran, is the heartbeat of traditional Irish music. When not touring the ren faire circuit or playing in pubs, Amanda and T.J. repay their debt to society by teaching music in the public schools. You can hear us this year at the Bristol Renaissance Faire, the Greenwood Faire, the Four Kingdoms Faire, Milwaukee Irish Fest, and many other venues – please check out our calendar to see when we’re near you!
